Inverter welding machine FORBY® SMART MIG 145 X LED (140A - 60%) (synergic) (gasless welding)
Description

FORBY® MIG-145 X LED - SYNERGIC
FORBY® MIG-145 X LED is a lightweight and compact inverter welding machine designed for MIG FLUX, MMA and LIFT TIG welding. In MIG FLUX mode, you can choose synergic or manual parameter control, so the machine suits both less experienced users and those who prefer to adjust settings themselves. The LED control panel shows welding current and voltage at the same time, and wire diameter selection makes it easier to get the machine ready for work. IGBT inverter technology delivers a stable arc, less spatter and a more even weld bead. Thanks to its small size and weight of only 3.75 kg, the machine is easy to carry and use in a garage, in a workshop or for repair work.
Key advantages
- 3 in 1: MIG FLUX, LIFT TIG and MMA modes in one machine.
- Synergic control: the machine automatically selects optimal parameters based on wire diameter and the selected current.
- MIG FLUX welding with 0.8 mm or 0.9 mm self-shielded flux-cored wire.
- Clear LED display: shows welding current and voltage at the same time.
- Wire diameter selection: separate 0.8 and 0.9 mm settings.
- VRD function: reduces open-circuit voltage in MMA mode.
- Stable arc ignition: slow initial wire feed helps ignite the arc more reliably.
- Less spatter: electronic arc control helps form a smoother weld bead.
- Compact and lightweight: weighs only 3.75 kg, dimensions 275 × 145 × 175 mm.
- Powered from a 230 V mains supply.
What can you weld?
- Carbon and low-carbon steel.
- Thin sheet metal, profiles, pipes and small metal structures.
- Car body, farm, garage and household metal parts.
- Stainless steel, using suitable wire, electrodes or LIFT TIG accessories.
- MIG FLUX welding using self-shielded flux-cored wire.
- MMA welding using coated electrodes.
- LIFT TIG welding with a suitable TIG torch (must have a valve) and an argon gas cylinder connected.

The welding machine is an inverter type and uses advanced IGBT technology. The inverter converts the 50Hz/60Hz AC voltage from the mains into DC voltage, which is then converted back into AC voltage by a high-frequency (20 kHz) converter.
IGBT technology allows efficient adjustment of welding parameters, ensures a stable arc and reduces energy losses.
MIG FLUX mode
- For everyday work with steel, 0.8 mm wire is usually enough.
- For thinner sheets, choose a lower current and shorter weld length to avoid burn-through.
- Hold the torch 10-15 mm from the workpiece and move evenly along the seam.
LIFT TIG mode
- Use high-purity (99.99%) argon gas.
- Grind the tungsten electrode to a cone shape so the arc is focused.
- Use a lower current at the start and end of the weld to prevent craters.
MMA mode
- Choose the electrode diameter according to the metal thickness (2.5 mm for thinner structures, 3.2-4.0 mm for thicker ones).
- Remember to clean rust and paint from the weld area - this improves arc stability and weld quality.

FORBY® MIG-145 X LED has a clear and conveniently laid-out control panel that lets you quickly select the operating mode and adjust the main welding parameters. The machine supports synergic MIG FLUX as well as manual MIG FLUX, MMA and LIFT TIG modes, making it a versatile choice for both simpler and more varied welding jobs. The LED display helps you monitor settings clearly, and the central knob allows quick and precise parameter adjustment. Operation is intuitive, so the machine is easy to use for both beginners and more experienced users.
