The Sherman-profi V5a automatic welding visor is designed to protect the eyes and face from sparks, spatter and harmful radiation during electric and gas welding, soldering, brazing, oxygen cutting and grinding.

Automatic darkening filter automatically changes from light to dark after arc ignition, and becomes light again after welding is completed.

The V5a visor has two external knobs for adjusting the degree of darkening from 4 to 13 according to DIN and infinitely adjusting the sensitivity of the photosensors' response to the intensity of the arc during welding, as well as two external switches that allow three-position adjustment of the dark/bright state switching delay time and change of operation mode. The blackout filter has the highest optical class ensuring full welder safety. It is equipped with four photosensors, which is especially important when welding with low currents.

Thanks to its large 100 x 62mm viewfinder, the V5a visor has an exceptionally large field of view. In addition, it is possible to tilt the shading filter completely, which significantly increases the viewing angle and is particularly useful when performing precision work or working in unfavorable lighting conditions.

The V5a visor is equipped with an advanced, comfortable and ergonomic headpiece, allowing for a perfect fit and full adjustment of the visor's position. A special tilting system changes the center of gravity of the visor with respect to the welder's head.

When the grinding function is selected, the darkening filter switches to a bright state with no option to adjust the darkening.

There is a "Test" button on the internal control panel to check the battery charge status and the correct operation of the blackout filter.
