Description

The MIG-350GL PULSE is a high-end welding machine designed for professional, heavy-duty work. Built on advanced IGBT inverter technology, it delivers stable weld quality, low spatter and deep penetration into the metal. It is a highly versatile machine suited to both industrial and professional use.

The FORBY MIG-350GL Pulse is a powerful three-phase (3×400 V) pulse inverter MIG/MAG welding machine designed for mild and stainless steel, aluminium alloys and other structural materials. Its advanced IGBT inverter technology ensures a stable arc, high efficiency and low spatter, even at high currents of up to 350 A.

The machine offers pulse MIG modes (single and double pulse) with synergic control. It also works in standard MIG/MAG, MMA (stick electrode welding) and Lift TIG modes - one machine for many jobs in the workshop or on the shop floor. The housing is designed for a metal trolley, so the machine can be moved around the work area together with the gas cylinder.

The MIG-350GL PULSE is a reliable welding machine that delivers top weld quality and convenience at every step!

Control panel and functions

The front has a large LCD panel with clear graphics that shows the set voltage, wire feed speed/current, mode and other parameters at the same time. Everything is controlled with just a few buttons and two knobs:

  • Mode selection button - choose DC MIG, Single Pulse, Double Pulse, MMA or Lift TIG.
  • Left knob - synergic voltage and wire speed setting, material and program selection.
  • Right knob - voltage fine-tuning, inductance, pulse frequency, pulse width, base current, 2T/4T, post-flow time, slow wire feed and other parameters.
  • 2T/4T modes - for easier work on short or longer seams.
  • WIRE CHECK / GAS CHECK buttons - quick check of wire feed and gas flow without striking an arc.
  • Front panel - Euro connector for the torch, aero socket for a spool gun, positive and negative welding terminals and a polarity change lead.

Functions:

  • MIG/MAG welding - can weld with or without shielding gas
  • Pulse MIG mode - allows precise adjustment of welding parameters
  • Two-stroke (2T) and four-stroke (4T) modes - for comfortable and long welding runs
  • VRD function - reduces open-circuit voltage in MMA mode for greater safety
  • Adjustable inductance - lets you control arc characteristics
  • Slow wire feed function - more reliable arc ignition
  • Hot Start & Arc Force functions - easier weld starts and a stable arc

MIG/MAG modes

  • DC MIG/MAG - for everyday steel work, structures, production and repair.
  • Single Pulse - especially suited to thinner parts and aluminium; the automatic Cool Pulse mode for low currents reduces heat input and sheet distortion.
  • Double Pulse - for decorative seams with a TIG-like appearance; an excellent choice for stainless steel and aluminium.
  • Work with or without gas: standard gases (CO₂, Ar/CO₂, pure argon) or self-shielded (flux-cored) wires can be used.

MMA (stick electrode welding)

  • Adjustable Hot Start - for easier arc ignition.
  • Adjustable Arc Force - for a more stable arc and deeper penetration.
  • VRD function - reduces no-load voltage and increases safety in damper conditions.

Lift TIG mode

  • With a TIG torch and argon cylinder connected, simpler TIG jobs can be carried out.
  • Lift ignition reduces the risk of tungsten contamination and burn-in.

Material-based programs

The control menu lets you select the material (carbon steel, stainless steel, AlSi, AlMg, CuSi) and wire diameter. The machine then selects the appropriate process (standard MIG or pulse), the wire feed roller (V, U, K types) and the recommended shielding gas.

Key features:

  • IGBT inverter technology - stable and efficient welding
  • Pulse MIG mode - better bead shape and less heated metal
  • Double pulse function - ideal for welding stainless steel and aluminium
  • Synergic control - automatic parameter matching for simple and fast operation
  • Gas-shielded MIG, gasless welding, TIG and MMA functions - versatility in one machine
  • High power - welding current up to 350 A
  • Fan cooling - effective overheating protection
  • Energy saving - high efficiency, lower power consumption
  • Light and compact - easy to transport and store

Tips for use

  • Choose the right wire and gas: for steel - CO₂ or Ar/CO₂, for stainless steel and CuSi - Ar gas mixtures, for aluminium - pure argon and U-type feed rollers.
  • Use synergy as a starting point: first set the wire diameter and select a synergic program, then fine-tune the voltage (-5...+5 V) and inductance if needed.
  • Choose pulse for thin sheets: use Single or Double Pulse modes and Cool Pulse for low currents to reduce the risk of burn-through and distortion.
  • Check cooling: keep at least 30 cm of free space around the ventilation openings - this extends the service life of the machine.
  • Avoid overloading: follow the recommended duty cycle; if OVER TEMPERATURE appears, let the machine cool down without switching off the power until the warning disappears.
  • Safety first: always use proper protection - welding helmet, gloves, work clothing, ensure good ventilation and secure the gas cylinder firmly on the trolley.
