The FORBY® MMA 200 EX inverter welding machine uses IGBTs and fast recovery diodes as its main electrical components, complemented by a specially designed main PCB. Smooth welding current adjustment ensures good arc performance during welding, and excellent dynamic protection functions make the machine safe and reliable. Ideal for welding low-carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc.

FORBY MMA-200EX PRO - a compact, lightweight and powerful inverter DC MMA machine designed for both professionals and demanding hobbyists. Thanks to Pulse MMA, Hot Start, Arc Force and VRD functions, the machine ignites the arc easily and welds stably and safely even in difficult conditions. The machine is ideal for:

• Welding steel structures, gates, fences, stairs and canopies;
• Farms, car services, construction and repair work;
• Outdoor and indoor work where a mobile and reliable MMA machine is needed.

Main functions and advantages

• Pulse MMA mode - allows adjustment of the base current and pulse frequency (0.5-10 Hz), so that:

- the arc becomes even more stable and easier to control;

- less spatter and slag, a smoother and neater weld;

- thinner workpieces are easier to weld, with lower risk of burn-through.

• MMA (manual metal arc welding) mode - a current range of 10 to 200 A allows working with 1.6-5.0 mm diameter electrodes: rutile, basic, cast iron, etc.
• LIFT TIG function - with an optional TIG torch (with valve), the machine can be used for simple DC TIG welding when a cleaner weld is required.
• Hot Start - briefly increases the current during ignition, so the arc strikes quickly and reliably, even with electrodes that are harder to ignite.
• Arc Force - automatically stabilizes the arc and reduces the likelihood of electrode sticking, especially when working with a short arc.
• VRD function - reduces the open-circuit voltage when you are not welding, increasing safety when working in damp, confined or metal spaces. VRD can be switched on/off by holding the rotary knob. Turn on VRD mode if you work in a damp environment, on metal structures or in confined spaces where safety is a priority.
• Digital LED display - clearly shows the welding current, pulse settings and other parameters; convenient for quickly repeating optimal settings for different electrodes and workpiece thicknesses.
• Overheating, overvoltage and overcurrent protection - the machine automatically switches off under excessive load and switches back on after cooling down, protecting the electronics and extending service life.

Hot start current (HOT START) = preset welding current + hot start value × 12.5 ≤ maximum output current
Arc force current (ARC FORCE) = preset welding current + arc force value × 12.5 ≤ maximum output current

• Pulse frequency in Pulse MMA mode (range 0.5-10 Hz)

LIFT TIG mode (option)

• With an additionally purchased TIG torch (with valve), the machine can be used for simple DC TIG welding when a cleaner weld is required.

Compact and lightweight housing. The machine measures only 330 × 130 × 200 mm and weighs ~4.6 kg. This makes it easy to carry, mount on trolleys or work in confined spaces.

Convenient carrying handle. A sturdy plastic handle is integrated on top, very convenient for quickly moving between workplaces.

Sturdy two-part construction. The housing uses a metal side cover and a durable reinforced plastic front and rear frame, which reduces the risk of damage during transport.

Clear LED display and ergonomic control panel. The front features a large LED display and a single universal control knob for setting all parameters.

Clearly marked quick connectors (35-50 type). The front panel has large and durable + / - connectors for the electrode holder and earth clamp. The quick-lock mechanism allows cables to be connected safely and quickly.

Efficient fan cooling. Well-placed side ventilation channels. A deeply recessed fan integrated at the rear is protected from impacts and dust. It ensures stable operation at 60% duty cycle (200 A). Slot-shaped ventilation openings are located on the sides. The design protects against direct impacts while ensuring air circulation.

Protected electronics. Inside are a high-quality IGBT system, main PCB and heat sinks. The electronics are effectively protected from dust and vibration. Regularly blow out the machine with compressed air - dust and metal particles shorten the service life of the electronics.

IP21S protection class. Protection against vertically falling water drops and dust ingress. Recommended for indoor use; avoid damp rooms.

STURDY CONNECTORS DESIGNED FOR HIGHER LOADS

Large 35-50 type welding cable connectors ensure reliable contact and stable current transfer. Properly connected and locked connectors help reduce contact resistance, connector heating and energy losses at the connection points.

Secure connection of electrode holder and earth cables. The 35-50 type + / - connectors on the front panel make it easy to connect cables and select the polarity required for the electrode used. Cables are easy to disconnect when preparing the machine for transport or storage.
