Semi-automatic welding machine FORBY® MIG 200ST PRO (200A - 60%) (synergic)
Description

FORBY® MIG-200ST PRO - SYNERGIC, SETTING BY METAL THICKNESS
FORBY® MIG-200ST PRO is a versatile inverter welding machine that combines MIG/MAG, LIFT TIG and MMA welding processes in one housing. Synergic settings, a modern LCD display, a high duty cycle and a wide current range make it easy to achieve a quality weld both in a home workshop and in a professional environment.
The machine is ideal for garages, car services, metal structure fabrication and repair - from thin sheet metal to more massive parts.
Machine review while welding aluminium.
Key advantages
- 3 in 1: MIG/MAG, LIFT TIG and MMA modes in one machine.
- Synergic control: the machine automatically selects optimal parameters according to the wire diameter and the selected current.
- High duty cycle: MIG and TIG - 60 % @ 200 A, MMA - 60 % @ 180 A.
- Modern LCD display: clearly shows current, voltage, wire feed and the selected mode.
- IGBT inverter technology: high efficiency, stable arc, lower weight and energy consumption.
What can be welded?
- Carbon steel - in MIG/MAG, MMA and TIG modes (structures, frames, gates, fences).
- Stainless steel - with stainless steel wire in MIG mode or LIFT TIG for clean, decorative welds.
- Aluminium alloys - in MIG mode with aluminium wire (1.0 mm recommended) and a Teflon liner.
- Cast iron and hard alloys - in MMA mode, using appropriate electrodes.
- Thin sheets and profiles - in LIFT TIG and MIG modes, when a clean weld and lower heat input are required.

The welding machine is of the inverter type and uses advanced IGBT technology. The inverter converts the 50 Hz / 60 Hz AC voltage from the mains into DC voltage, which is then transformed back into AC voltage by a high-frequency (20 kHz) converter.
IGBT technology allows efficient adjustment of welding parameters, ensures a stable arc and reduces energy losses.
MIG/MAG mode
- For everyday work with steel, 0.8 mm wire is usually sufficient.
- For thinner sheets, choose a lower current and shorter weld length to avoid burn-through.
- Hold the torch 10-15 mm from the workpiece and move evenly along the seam.
LIFT TIG mode
- Use high-purity (99.99 %) argon gas.
- Grind the tungsten electrode to a cone shape so that the arc is concentrated.
- Use a lower current at the start and end of the weld to prevent craters.
MMA mode
- Choose the electrode diameter according to metal thickness: 2.5 mm - for thinner structures, 3.2-4.0 mm - for thicker ones.
- Remember to clean rust and paint from the weld area - this improves arc stability and weld quality.

LED display with extremely simple control:
MIG synergy - automatic matching of voltage and wire speed, option to select parameters by metal thickness.
Left knob - modes, MIG voltage.
Right knob - wire speed / current.
Left button - mode menu / back.
Right button - inductance, 2T/4T, wire test.
Control panel functionality
Synergic MIG mode
Automatically matches voltage and wire feed according to the selected wire and gas characteristics.Manual MIG mode
Allows precise independent adjustment of voltage (±5 V) and wire speed.3 in 1 functionality
MIG/MAG, MMA and LIFT TIG modes provide wide application in workshops, garages and car services.IGBT inverter technology
Stable arc, fast response to load changes, efficient energy use and less spatter.Bright digital display
Clearly shows the set voltage, wire speed, current and actual welding parameters during operation.Wire diameter selection
The diameter of the wire used can be selected: 0.6 / 0.8 / 1.0 mm.Choice of gas or self-shielded wire welding
MIG/MAG welding with shielding gas and welding with self-shielded wire are possible by changing the polarity on the machine panel.2T / 4T operating modes
2T is for regular work, while 4T is for longer welds and less hand fatigue.Inductance adjustment (−10...+10)
A softer arc helps reduce spatter, while a harder arc achieves deeper penetration.Wire feed test (WIRE CHECK)
Allows the wire to be quickly fed through the torch after changing the spool or wire liner.Gas test function
Allows checking the gas flow before starting to weld.VRD function in MMA mode
Voltage reduction device that increases work safety when welding with electrodes.Protection functions
Overheating protection, overcurrent control and efficient fan cooling.

QUICK AND CONVENIENT GAS HOSE CONNECTION
1. The integrated quick gas coupling allows the gas hose to be connected or disconnected easily and quickly. This shortens the machine setup time and makes moving and transporting it easier.
2. A 3-metre pressure-resistant gas hose is included with a quick coupling on the machine side. The optimal hose length gives more freedom to conveniently position the welding machine and gas cylinder at the workplace.
STURDY CONNECTORS DESIGNED FOR HIGHER LOADS
Large 35-50 welding cable connectors ensure reliable contact and stable current transfer. They are designed for higher loads and help reduce connector heating and energy losses. Compared to budget-class machines, which more often use 10-25 connectors, 35-50 welding cable connectors provide an additional reliability reserve.
The standard EURO connector for the MIG torch combines welding current, gas, wire feed and control contacts in a single connection. The torch can be quickly connected, disconnected or easily replaced with another MIG torch, and the threaded locking ensures a secure connection during operation.
FORBY welding equipment focuses on quality, durability and ease of use, which is why even compact machines use higher-spec solutions such as large 35-50 cable connectors and a universal EURO connector for the MIG torch.
